We keep the books
so you can build the business
Talisk HQ is AI-native, email-first bookkeeping, built in Canada for small-business owners who'd rather run their business than chase paperwork.
Why Talisk exists
Talisk started with a frustration every online seller knows: the books are always behind. Orders, payouts, fees, refunds and supplier bills move fast, and reconciling them by hand is the last thing you want to do at the end of a long day. So it piles up, and you find out what you actually made months too late.
The tools that were supposed to help weren't built for how small businesses actually work. Generic accounting software makes you do the ecommerce plumbing yourself. Bookkeeping services take your shoebox and hand it back a month later. And almost none of it understands Canadian sales tax properly.
We think your books should be right where you already are, in the same app as your inbox and your store. Staying current is something you do in passing, a few minutes at a time. HQ reads your invoices, receipts and payouts, gets them into your books, and keeps your numbers ready. It also checks your books for what's missing or doesn't add up, and shows you where to look, so there's no scramble at month-end.
The principles we build on
Numbers you can trust
Every figure traces back to the email, payout or transaction it came from. Real double-entry underneath, so the books tie out and your accountant nods.
Never behind
Books that update as the day happens, not once a quarter in a panic. Current beats complete-but-late.
Canada-first
GST, HST, PST and QST handled right, by province, because "close enough" isn't good enough when you're filing.
Your data is yours
Encrypted, isolated, never sold, never used to train public models. We work for you, on your data, full stop.
Independent, and built in Canada
Talisk is an independent, founder-led company based in British Columbia, built by someone who runs an online business and got tired of the books being a month behind. We're not chasing scale for its own sake. We're building a tool small-business owners choose because it earns its place, and keeping it that way for the long haul.
Talisk does the bookkeeping. It codes the transactions, reconciles the accounts, closes the month and produces the reporting pack and the working papers, so year-end is a hand-off rather than a rebuild. What it doesn't do is the judgment: the adjusting entries, the depreciation, the tax strategy, the filing itself. That work stays with the accountant. Bookkeepers can also run their own clients on Talisk, each in a separate account.
