Chase every overdue invoice in one pass
When invoices are past due, Invoicing › Invoices shows a Chase N overdue button. It opens every overdue invoice at once, with a reminder already written for each.
- Click Chase N overdue. TALISK_HQ drafts a message per invoice, worded for how late that one is: a light nudge early on, firmer as it ages.
- Read them. Change the wording, the subject, or the address on any of them.
- Skip any you do not want to send. A customer you have already spoken to does not need a letter.
- Click Send. Each one is emailed and marked as reminded, so you can see later who has been chased and when.
Nothing is sent until that last click. If a send fails partway through, the ones that already went are marked Sent and are not sent again when you retry.
The same thing is on your phone, on the Money screen, as a nudge that appears when invoices go past due. It leaves out anything you already reminded in the last twelve hours and says so ("1 already reminded today, so 2 will be sent"), so coming back to the screen later in the day cannot send a customer the same reminder twice.
The nudge only appears once the Money screen's figures are current. When the phone opens Money with the figures it saved on your last visit, they show greyed out with a line under them naming the book and their age, such as "as of 2:14 pm · updating", and the nudge waits until they have been refreshed. Offline, the line says "offline" and the nudge does not appear, so it never offers to chase anyone from figures that may be out of date.
Chasing one invoice on its own
Open the invoice and use Send reminder. That is the better route when you want to say something specific to one customer.
The Invoices are overdue card on Ledger › Health lists each overdue invoice by client, number, due date and amount, with Draft reminder on each and the time it was last reminded beside it. The draft opens for you to read and edit, and it is emailed only when you click Send reminder. If you reminded that invoice in the last twelve hours, the card asks you to confirm before it drafts another, so the same customer is not chased twice in one day. The invoice stays on the card until it is paid.
