Change, cancel or pause your subscription
Everything about your plan lives in Settings › Subscription.
Change your plan or your card
The Subscription screen lists every plan. The one you are on is outlined in green and marked Current plan; use the Monthly and Yearly switch to see each plan on either billing interval.
To move to another plan, press Switch to on its card. The button names the plan, so the Business card reads Switch to Business, and the yearly Pro card reads Switch to Pro yearly when you want to change how often you pay. Stripe's billing page opens in a new browser tab on that one change, and shows what it will cost before you confirm. A change of plan is charged or credited for the part of the period already paid, and TALISK_HQ picks up the new plan as soon as Stripe confirms it: come back to the TALISK_HQ tab and the Subscription screen shows it.
You can switch while your subscription is active. A plan that is paused or set to end offers no switch until you resume it or press Keep my plan.
Leave the Partner plan
On the Partner plan, Switch to on the Pro or Business card opens Leave the Partner plan instead of Stripe's page, because leaving releases your clients. Under Your new plan it shows Pro and Business with their prices, and under Billed you choose Monthly or Yearly. It lists every client, each marked Keeps their books; your access ends; tick Offer their own plan beside anyone you want to invite to subscribe on their own, and the invitation goes in their email. Press Leave the Partner plan, or Stay on Partner to change nothing.
In one step your plan changes, your extra client places stop billing, and every client is released: they keep their own books and can still sign in, your access to them ends, and each gets an email that day. If you keep the same billing interval, Stripe credits the unused part of your Partner plan and places and charges the new plan from today, on your next bill. Changing between monthly and yearly starts a new billing period, so Stripe charges it straight away, less that credit. If Stripe declines your card, or your bank needs you to confirm the payment, nothing changes; fix it in Manage billing and try again.
A released client is not restored if you come back to the Partner plan later. Leaving any other way, a cancel or a change made in Stripe's page, releases your clients the same way.
To update the card you pay with, your billing address, or to download past invoices, press Manage billing. It opens Stripe's billing page in a new tab too. If your browser blocks the new tab, the billing page opens in the same tab instead.
Cancel
Press Cancel Subscription and follow the steps. What happens next depends on when you started:
- Within 14 days of your first subscription, everything you paid is refunded, tax included, and the plan ends straight away. This is once per customer. The confirmation step names the amount before you confirm, and any offer to stay says what cancelling instead would refund. Afterwards the screen shows the amount refunded to your card; it can take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement.
- Otherwise, your plan keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again. Until that date the screen shows when it ends and offers Keep my plan if you change your mind.
When a plan ends, the account moves to the Free plan. Your books, mail and documents are kept, with no time limit: nothing is deleted unless you delete the account yourself, from Settings › Account › Delete my account and data.
If you say the price is the reason, and you pay monthly, you may be offered a discount on your next few payments instead. The button names the discount, for example Take 25% off; press it to take it: your plan stays as it is and Stripe takes the discount off those payments. The offer is made once per customer.
Pause
Press Pause Subscription and choose one, two or three months. The dialog shows the date billing resumes; press the pause button, which names the length you chose (for example Pause for 2 months), to confirm, or Keep paying to change nothing. If you say you are not using TALISK_HQ enough when you cancel, you may be offered a pause instead: a button that pauses for three months, with the date billing resumes. While it is paused:
- you are not charged;
- the account works at Free plan limits, so new scans, AI drafts or connections beyond those limits wait until you resume;
- everything you already have stays exactly as it is.
It resumes by itself on the date shown, or press Resume Now to come back early. TALISK_HQ asks first: your plan comes back straight away at the price you were paying, nothing is charged that day, and billing restarts with your next payment. Press Resume now to confirm, or Stay paused. A Partner account cannot be paused, because your clients' access depends on it; you can cancel instead.
If your bookkeeper pays for your account
Your bookkeeper pays for this account, so there is nothing to cancel or pause here. You can still run it on a plan of your own: choose Pro or Business, either monthly or yearly, on the Subscription screen. If your bookkeeper offered you your own plan, Settings also shows Subscribe to Business. Once you pay, the account bills to you and your bookkeeper no longer has access. Your books stay exactly as they are.
If your bookkeeper's partnership ends
When your bookkeeper leaves the Partner plan or ends the arrangement, your books are yours: nothing is deleted, and you can sign in as before. If you never set a password, use Forgot your password? on the sign-in page. From that day the assistant runs at Free plan limits; everything else works as it did for 14 days, and then the account moves to the Free plan unless you choose a plan on the Subscription screen. Your bookkeeper's own access ends, and your scheduled reporting pack stops going to their login address. Anyone else they set up while working in your account keeps access until you remove them, so review sharing, team members and reporting-pack recipients in Settings.
