Turn sounds on or off

Open this in Talisk HQ

TALISK_HQ plays a short, soft sound when you finish something: a reconciliation that ties to the penny, the last bill in your review list, a match found between a document and a bank line. Sounds are on unless you turn them off.

On a computer, open Settings, choose the Account tab and use the Play sounds switch under Sounds. On your phone, open More and use the Sounds card under Notifications. Turning sounds on plays one, so you can hear the volume straight away.

The setting belongs to the device, not your account. A laptop in an office and a phone at home can be set differently.

New email chimes only when it needs you: the AI triage has to mark it as needing a reply, and it has to have just arrived. Newsletters, receipts and filtered mail never make a sound, and neither does older mail TALISK_HQ reads when you first connect a mailbox.

Sounds stay quiet when TALISK_HQ is in a tab or window you are not looking at, and a batch of results plays one sound, not one per item. Your device's own volume and mute controls apply as usual.

Good to know: Sounds are set per device: turning them off on your laptop leaves your phone as it was. They only play while you have Talisk open and in front of you, and never for an error. They are separate from push notifications, which have their own switch.
